Legendary Djembe master, Mamady Keita, celebrates the 50th anniversary of his musical career with this fine collection of captivating, energetic and soulful performances recorded and filmed during his most recent world tour. He is joined by some of Africa's best, including the drummers and singers of the famous Sewa Kan band, and the great Kora player Price Diabate. Mamady, born in Balandugu, Guinea, was a child prodigy and was selected by President Sekou Toure, to join the National Ballet "Djoliba" of Guinea, as one of the Djembe soloists at the early age of 14.
