These days, very few jazz musicians have the experience of keeping a cohesive working band on the road. For the last couple of years, guitarist Jake Langley has been playing almost 200 dates a year with B3 organ great Joey DeFrancesco and drummer Byron Lanham. In addition to their critically acclaimed live shows all over the world, the trio has also recorded together several times. Langley’s latest CD, Movin’ & Groovin’ captures the musicians’ soulful repertoire of hip hard-bop classics and a pair of Jake’s groove-driven originals.
